Motivational Quotes to Fuel Your Workout

Updated: Jan 11, 2019

Ever have trouble finding sufficient motivation to work out? Well, look no further! The following is a compilation of tips and tricks to help you remember and implement inspiring words into your everyday life, followed by a list of twenty quotes to get you started.

Reading a list of inspiring quotes is enough to make anybody feel energized and ready to take action for a little while, but it takes a bit more to feel inspired by powerful words each and every day. One of the most effective things you can do to keep your favorite quotes on the brain is to post them in places where you won’t have to seek them out. Try breaking out some sticky notes and post quotes where you are guaranteed to see them, like inside your medicine cabinet, on the front of the refrigerator, inside the front door of your house or apartment, and above your bed. If there is a particular quote that you find extra special to you, you can post it in a more permanent way, like paining a doorway or staircase, or framing it and hanging it on the wall. Stickers are also great! There are plenty of websites that produce custom stickers. Have a few printed and shipped to you so you can decorate your water bottle or laptop with your favorite words.

If you keep a journal (which in itself can be highly beneficial for tracking success and staying motivated!), date your pages in advance and write a motivating quote at the top of each page. When you go to log your day in your journal, you will be reminded of why you have set the goals you did. Reading the quote you wrote days before will trigger the determination you have towards reaching your goal, no matter what progress or setbacks took place that day. You also have the option of purchasing a journal that has quotes in it already. There are lots of good ones out there, some general, and others geared towards specific motivational topics.

Share your favorite quotes with others. Hang a quote in your workspace for your coworkers to see. Another idea is to send quote to someone close to you. You could write it on a napkin in your child’s lunchbox or leave a voice message for your significant other. Better yet, make it a habit to text close friends a new quote each week, and have them do the same! This can be a great way to find new quotes, as well.
